Animal Talk

I would love to talk to the animals, but I never know what to say.
Especially when a horse opens its mouth to grin and then it goes “neigh, neigh.”
Or when a dog bow wows,
and a strutting cat meows
at the cow who looks around and say “moo.”
While the owl turns its head an answer “whoo-oo.”
Or when the early bird rooster cock a doodle doo.
And the little kitten mew,
that the donkey is about to hee haw
as it waits for the lion to roar.

Or when the big bear stands and growl
as the wolf looks at the moon and howl;
Which makes the mouse start to squeak
at the bird who lovingly goes tweet, tweet.

Oh, I would love to talk  to the animals if only I knew what to say
when the animals start to talk in their own mysterious way.
